)WlingCrookMichelle Ann Elizabeth Bowling and Travis Quillie Crook were married at 4 p.m. Sept. 12 at Perry Memorial Methodist Church at Shady Spring.The bride is the daughter of Mark and Renee Bowling of Shady Spring. She is the granddaughter of Clifford Bowling of Bradley and the late Betty Bowling and Ralph and Valerie Paugh of Shady Spring.The groom is the son of Ronnie and Sheila Crook of Cool Ridge. He is the grandson of the late Quillie Crook and Mary Crook of Shady Spring and Ernestine Humphrey of Mabscott.The Rev. Tim Allen performed the double-ring, candlelight ceremony.Given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless tank neck beaded gown to the waist with a flowing detailed bottom with cathedral train. The bride wore her mother’s veil.She carried a bouquet of white roses, carnations tipped in royal blue accented with baby’s breath, ivy and royal blue and white ribbons.Maid of honor was Shannon Gills, best friend of the bride of Shady Spring.Bridesmaids were Sara Gills, Jennifer Allen and Cindy Payne, all friends of the bride.Junior bridesmaid was Ashley Brown, cousin of the bride of Tennessee.Flower girl was Kelsey Surber, friend of the bride of Hinton.Ringbearer was Mikey Redden, friend of the groom ofBeckl^y.Best man was Zelmar Lilly, best friend of the groom of Daniels.Groomsmen were Don T. Crook and Chris Crook, cousins of the groom, and Eddie Wills and Earl Harper, friends of the groom.Guest book attendant was Sherri Prince, cousin of the bride of Charlotte. N.C.Photography was provided by Shifoto of Coal City.Wedding flowers were provided by Creations and Crafts of Shady Spring,Music was provided by Darrel Mann of Shady Spring.An outdoor reception followed at the home of the groom’s parents.The wedding cake was designed by Joyce Massie of Daniels.The bride is a 1997 graduate of Shady Spring High School. She is employed by Heritage Medical Associates in Beckley.The groom is also a 1997 graduate of SSHS. He is employed by Falcon Machinery inMabscott.Following a honeymoon to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple reside in Cool Ridge.
