Roche-Ryan.A pretty wedding took place this morning at the German Catholic church when Miss Mary Ryan and James Roche were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev, Father DuFour, of St, Mary’s Catholic church,Mrs. Roche is the pretty daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ryan who reside on Iroquois street. She was educated in St. Mary’s school, and has made Freeport her home all her life. She was attended by Miss Julia O’Brien.Mr. Roche is a young and popular engineer on the Illinois Central, and has made Freeport his home for the past six years. He was born in Madison gud received his education in the schools of that place. Mr. Roche is one of the youngest engineers on the Central, having been lately promoted. He is a young man of very good habits, and the good wishes of his many friends are with him. T. A. Gaffney acted as best man.After the wedding service they returned to the bride’s home, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was served, the tables being decorated with smilax and carnations.Mr, aud Mrs, Roche will immediately go to housekeeping at llli Iroquois street, where they will be glad to receive their great number of friends.Mr. aud Mrs. Roche were the recipients of some very costly presents,* * *
