Mrs. Ellis Given Surprise on AnniversaryMrs. J. F. Ellis was pleasantly surprised on the eve of her and the late J. F. Ellis’ thirty-seventh wedding anniversary date Thursday, Oct. 28, at her home.Close friends brought flower arrangements to decorate her home just before two of his nieces arriv-j ed for a surprise visit. Mrs. Leila i Moore, a staff member in the Home Missions Training School in San Antonio, and Mr. and Mrs.' Morgan Magness of Washington, | D. C., where the guests.Mrs. J. S. Scarborough, Jr., brought a huge container of bachelor buttons; Miss Nellyne Wicker, pyracantha and castor beans; and Mrs. R. H. Word, queen’s crown and fall flow'ers.Wednesday night, Oct. 28, Mrs. Ellis held open house for the guests. Mrs. Ophie Ellis and Gary Ellis of Kingsville joined the group at dinner.Thursday morning, Oct. 29, the group made a trip through the King Ranch school, the city of Kingsville, AI, Celanese and other places of interest to climax the reunion of the family. Mrs. Scarborough, principal of the Santa Gertrud is School, of which Mrs. Ellis is a teacher, was hostess to the party at the King Ranch School.
