Terese Stanis Anne, only daughter of Joseph and Be mice Dubanski, was united in marriage with Terrance Rodney Vopni, eldest son of Rodney and Laura Vopni, of Kenville, Manitoba. Rev. Patrick Morand officiated at the double ring ceremony.Given in marriage by her father, Terese was very elegant in a floor length gown of imported French sheer fashioned with a natural waistline accented by a satin sash. The wedding ring neckline of beautiful English embroidered lace swept diagonally across one shoulder and sleeve and flowed gracefully down one side to the hemline. Her hat of English lace and dotted French veiling lifted on one side to gracefully frame her face. She carried a bouquet of huge Cattleya orchids and stephanotis on satin ribbons which was a copy of her mother's wedding bouquet.Attending the bride were close friends, Helen Kehler of Winnipeg and Eileen Frazer of Peterborough, Ontario, and Valerie Vopni, sister of the groom. Best man was Colin Campbell of Brandon, friend of the groom. Also attending were Lester Vopni, brother of the groom, and Gerry Dubanski. brother of the bride.Friend of the bridal couple. Robert Onysko, and cousin of the bride, Kevin Bridges, gave the readings during the marriage ceremony. Carmen Marginet played a lovely selection of music before and during the ceremony, accompanied by soloist, Joanne Wyman. Ushering at the church were cousins of the bride, Greg and Kevin Bridges, and cousin of the groom, Gary Dennis.The wedding reception was held at the Fort Garry Hotel in the Crystal Ballroom. Best man, Colin Campbell, was master of ceremonies. Uncle, Ernest Bridges said grace, and also proposed a happy and humorous toast to the bride Wendy Spicer of Minitonas was the gracious guest book attendant.On this happy day,Granny and Grandpa Purcha. maternal grandparents of the bride celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary.After a honeymoon in Mexico, the happy couple reside in Swan River, Manitoba.Terese and Terry wish to thank the many, many out-of-town family and friends who came to share thisspecial day with them, as well as family, friends and neighbors in town.SOCIAL EVENTSA social evening honoring Terese and Terry was held in Sw'an River by family and friends. In the home of Lorna Spicer, Minitonas, Terese was honored and surprised indeed by her co-workers and friends at a miscellaneous shower. Mom and aunt, Stanis Bridges were there from Winnipeg to make the surprise very' special. The bride-elect was also honored at a lovely shower in the home of her aunt, Stanis Bridges with family and friends attending. Assisting were Theresa Zaretski, Jean Les-sard and Judy Wiebe with young Christine Wiebe and Tannis Legare. Karen Zar-etski-Friesen attended the guest book. A persona! shower was held by close friends in the home of Pam Peters. Swan River. The bride's parents held an Open House in their home following the wedding rehearsal.
