Rose Lynn weds Larry BeasleyRose Marie Lynn and EOCN Larry Michael Beasley were united in marriage at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Oakland City at 2 p.m. on October 16. The Rev. Bruce Buckley performed the ceremony before an altar decked with blue-tipped carnations with white daisies, ferns, and candelabrum.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lynn, Sarasota, FIs., and the bridegroom is the son of Mrs. James Camp and Max Beasley, both of Oakland City.Cynthia Blough sang ‘ The Wedding Song” and “I Love Thee before the ceremony and The 1/ord’s Prayer” while the couple knelt at the altar. Carolyn Spitler, organist, performed nuptial airs before the ceremony.Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a white floor length polyester dress with Spanish lace tipped sleeves. The bodice featured Spanish lace and seed pearls with attached hood of Spanish lace and a chapel train.She carried a cascade of white roses, blue tipped daisies, babies' breath and greenery.Maid of honor was Tonda Dixon, friend of the bride. Karen Rothrock, friend of the bride, was bridesmaid andRachel Ross, cousin of the bridewas flower girl. The attendants wore light blue floor length gowns with capes. They donned white wide brimmed hats with light blue ribbons. Each carried a bouquet of blue tipped carnations with greenery.The groom was attired in a white cutaway tuxedo withwhite tie and tails. His boutonniere was a single white rose. Eugene Beasley served as his brother’s best man. Andy Dye, friend of the groom, was groomsman. Ushers were Stephen Beasley, brother of the groom, and Pepper Miller, friend of the groom. Ring bearer was Jeffrey Scarlett, cousin of the groom.The groomsmen were attired in light blue tuxedos with single blue carnation boutonnieres. The ring bearer wore a white tuxedo with a blue carnation boutonniere and the flower girl wore a white floor length dress with blue sash. She earned a basket of blue tipped carnations and daisies.The mother of the bride was attired in a floor length light brown dress trimmed with beige lace with matching accessories. Her corsage was of beige tipped white carnations. The mother of the bridegroom wore a pink floor length gown with matching accessories. Her corsage was of pink tipped white carnations.A reception followed the ceremony in Shepherd’s Hall. Serving at the reception were Veronica McNulty, Indianapolis, and Jane Kunze, Evansville, both cousins of the groom.The bride attended Pike Cen-tral High School. Thebridegroom graduated fromWood Memorial High School in 1976 and is now serving with the U.S. Navy as in construction The couple will reside in Oxnard, Calif,, after returning from a wedding trip to Colorado. In March they will be moving to Spain.
