Basye read the wedding vows for the Oct. 10 ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Belt are parents of the bride; the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. William Barbour.nmmA- v.. - ' ;•The bridal gown of silk organza featured a stand-up collar defined by an overlay of imported Venice lace, studded with tiny clusters of seed pearls. Jeweled lace also finished the cuffs on the long, tapered sleeves, and accented the bodice In a vestee effect. The Jeweled lace trim was repeated on the skirt Just above the hemline, and on the aisle-wide train.The bride wore a gold and pearl brooch that had been a gift to the groom's grandmother on her golden wedding anniversary. She carried a cascading bouquet of large white mums and pom- poms. The elbow length veil was held In place by a headpiece of Venice lace with petals trimmed in seed pearls and sequins.Miss Sandra Anderson was maid of honor, while Mrs. Denise Belt, Pensacola, Fla., sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Carolyn Cheyney, sister of the groom, were bridesmaids. Each was attired in a gown of avocado chiffon and moss lace. The empire bodice featured a lace vest effect accented with buttons, a high collar, and long puffed sleeves with lace cuffs. The floor length skirt was semigathered. Each bridesmaid carried one large orange mum with green streamers.Best man was Neal Lemonds;IOWA RESIDENTSA mgroomsmen were Roger Sell and Norman Burson. Cheryl Barbour, sister of the groom, and Tom Belt; brother of the bride, lit the candles. Ushers were Ron Bolton and Alan Bruce, Malvern. Mrs. Dean Dusenberry provided organ music. Karlene Belt, cousin of the bride, Co. Bluffs, was in charge of the guest book. Gifts were cared for by Janice Roenfeld, Karen Clements, and Diane Anderson.A reception was held In thechurch parlors following the ceremony. Linda and Nancy Barbour, sisters of the groom, served coffee and punch, while the cake was served by Cindy Boles and Vyrdel Bebensee.The groom Is employed In P. J. by the Western Fruit Express; the bride works at Connie’s Style Salon. After a wedding trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota, the newlyweds will take up residence at 305| Harold’s Drive.
