Lynch-Phillips The Rev. and Mrs. W. M. Lynch of 16022 Lowe avenue, Harvey, announced the engagement of their daughter, Carolyn, to Ron L. Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Phillips of Louisville, Ky., at a tea last Sunday.Miss Lynch, a graduate of Waco, Texas high school, is a junior at Olivet Nazarene college in Kankakee, 111. Herfiance attended Bethanv Na-%»zarene college in Bethany, Okla. He is presently servingwith the U.S. Air Force inKorea.The couple plan to wed January 10 during Mr. Phillips’ furlough. He is scheduled to return to Korea the first part of February.Wrhatlev-Brotan The engagement of MissDefphine Whatley to Thomas Marion Brotan, son of Mrs. Mildred Brotan of 55 West 151st street, Harvey, and the late Edward Brotan, has been announced by her mother, Mrs. Velma Eder of Chicago.A graduate of Lake View high school, Chicago, Miss Whatley is employed at Stewart -Warner corporation in Chicago.Mr. Brotan, a 1963 graduate of Thornton Township high school, attended Thornton Junior college. A graduate of Automation Institute, he is employed as a systems analyst with Stewart-Warner cor-poration, Chicago.The wedding will take place December 7.Harris-KoubaMr. and Mrs. Alfred E.
