The marriage of Miss Margaret M. Fritzel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John V. Fritzel, and LeaRoy Hurley of Lawrence took place last evening, at 8 o’clock, at Trinity Lutheran church. Rev. Alfred j. Beil, pastor of the church, read the ceremony before the altar, which was decorated with chrysanthemums and candles, with cathedral tapers in floor candelabVa at each side.Before the ceremony, Miss Barbara Brooke played a short program of organ music.The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore sapphire blue velvet in floor lenjfth and carried a bouquet of bride’s roses and button chrysanthemums. She wore gardenias in her hair. The bridesmaid. Miss Gladys Shaw, wore wine colored velvet in floor length and carried talisman roses. She wore a bandeau . of button chrysanthemums. Mr. Hurley was attended by John V. Fritzel, Jr., brother of the bride, as best man.Miss Julia Fritzel, sister of the bride, and Miss Joyce Rutherford served as ushers.Following the ceremony, a reception for relatives and close friends was held at the home of the bride’s parents.Mrs. Luther Gustafson served the wedding cake. Others who assisted in the dining room were Mrs. Albert Fritzel, Mrs. John V. Fritzel, Jr., Miss Julia Fritzel and Miss Joyce Rutherford.Mr. and Mrs. Hurley will be at home on University drive. The bride is a graduate of the University of Kansas and is now teaching at Kanwaka. Mr. Hurley is employed at the Journal-World.
