Both are members of the Atherton Club, which is known for its anti-marital tendencies, and the wager drawn up in the almost forgotten days was that the one who remained unmarried on November 1 was to buy the box of cigars. Scarcely thirty minutes of November1 had passed when Belden was rudely awakened from peaceful dreams at his home, to find Bussard waiting at the door with a box ofcigars.Will Resist License.
