Robert Garvin's Of Oxford Mamed Fifty Years Oct. 23 IMr. and Mrs. Robert Garvin of Oxford observed their 50th wedding anniversary Tuesday, Oct. 23. They were honored at a family dinner at their home last Sunday.Mr. and Mrs. Garvin were married Oct. 23, 1901 at the First Christian Church in Iowa City. Mrs. Garvin was formerly Miss Jennie Wagner of Iowa township where she was born and spent her early life.Mr. and Mrs. Garvin are_the parents of ten children, nine living, and twenty-three grandchildren.AH but one of their children, Mrs. Irma Young of Fresno, Calif., were present Sunday for , the dinner. Eighteen grandchildren were also unable to attend.'Besides Mrs. Young the children are Mrs. Elmer Sievers, Mrs. Frank Reasland and Mrs. Russell Mann of Iowa City; Mrs. Charles Elliott of Aurelia; Mrs, Ray O’Neil of Morse; Mrs. Ed -Vesely of Parnell; Everett’Garvin of Oxford and Mrs. Ralph Wagner, Iowa township.The parents were presented with a gift from their children . j in remembrance of the occassion.♦ » ♦
