MISS JOSEPHINE BEATSociety EditorKay Battelle, June Bride-Elect OfDouglas Robertson, Shower HonoreeA bridal shower was given recently by Mrs. Roscoe Criin, Mrs. Howard Garrerson and Mrs. Horace A. Brock for Kay Battelle of Santa Ana, fiancee of Douglas Robertson of Redlands.The party was at the Crim home on Nevada street where the bridal motif greeted guests as they arrived. Wedding bells and lilies of the valley were among deorative appointments.The main bridal bouquet consisted of white gladioli from the gardens of Mrs. H. S. Barber of Riverside, grandmother of the prospective bridegroom. The dining table was highlighted by a wedding bell arrangement surrounded with Cecil Bruner roses. The green, pink and white color theme was used throughout.A group gift of a Mixmaster and a Sunkist Juice-it were presented to the honoree and a barbecue set to her fiance.Prizes for grown games played during the evening went to Mmes. j Frank Burns, Rex Brock, Earl Morgan and H. Eugene Bell.Mrs. Frank L. Robertson, Douglas' mother, presided at the punch bowl and Miss Leslie Battelle, sister of the bride-to-be, poured coffee.Coming from Santa Ana were, Mrs. Beryl Battelle and Leslie;! mother and sister of the bride-i! elect. Also invited were Douglas’ grandmothers, Mrs. Barber of Riverside and Mrs. Alveoa Rob-j. ertson of Redlands; his mother,{| Mrs. Frank Robertson; Mmes. Douglas Armstrong, Aaron Artb, Curtis Bell, H. O’Brien, Frank Burns; Miss Lucy Siegrist and Miss Judy Brock.Wedding invitations have bees! sent for the nuptials, to be] solemnized June 20 at 8 p.m. in the Parkview Reformed church in Santa Ana.REBEKAH LODGE SMORGASBORD FRIDAYA smorgasbord dinner, featuring turkey and Swedish meat balls, will be served Friday in-the Odd Fellows hall, beginning at5:30 p.m. and open to the public. The regular lodge meeting is scheduled for 7:30.
