Thomas Lawless reading the double ring service in the presence of over 200 relatives and friends. A floating back panel of embroidered tulle fell over the tulle skirt and formed a whisper train. The bodice, styled with a Sabrina neckline and lighted with tiny illumines, was of embroidered tulle. The sleeves were long. She wore a matching pearl necklace and earrings, a gift from the bridegroom. A tiny plateau of lace encrusted with sequins and pearls held in place her shoulder length veil of silhfiillusion. They wore identical gowns of white frosted nylon dotted swiss over American Beauty red taffeta. The sleeves were short. The full skirts were complimented with wide Dior sashes in American Beauty red and their hats and mitts of dotted swiss matched their gowns. They carried arm bouquets of American Beauty roses and white carnations.There will be a Peewee baseball game Wednesday, June 12, at 8:00 p. m. at the Pomeroy softball diamond. She wore a floor length gown of white, fashioned like the gowns worn by the bride’s attendants and as she marched down the aisle shescattered rose petals from her little white basket. Larry Johnson of Sac City, cousin of the bride, wore a white suit, black bow tie and white carnation boutonniere. He carried the rings on a heart-shaped white satin pillow.The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Paul Schachtner, as best man and Paul Schleisman, brother of the bride, as groomsman. The men of the wedding party wore white formal jackets with dark trousers, black bow ties and white carnation boutonnieres.Ushers were Cletus Hoerchler of Dickens and Dale Reis of Fonda. They wore dark suits.The bride’s mother wore navy blue sheer with white accessories. The bridegroom’s mother wore a light blue two-piece dress with white accessories and the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Kate Warning of Carroll, wore navy blue. Each wore a corsage of roses.Sister Mary Lucille played the processional, the recessional and was accompanist for Helen Fitzpatrick of Carroll who sang “Avo Maria”, Noreen Guard of Carroll who sang ‘‘0 Lord I Am Not Worthy” during the ceremony, and Robert Schleisman, brother of the bride, who sang “Mother At Thy Feet We’re Kneeling” while the bride placed a bouquet, presented to her by her sister Dorothy Schleisman, at the Blessed Virgin’s altar.Following the church ceremony a reception for 150 guests was held in the parish hall. At the guest book was Mrs. Eugene Schreier of Man-son and presiding at the punch bowl were JoLene Klueke and Charlotte Savage of Carroll.A two-course berakfast was served at long tables. The bride’s table was centered with the four-tier angel food cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom standing in a heart-shaped frame of lace and net. The layers of the cake were held apart by white colonades and swans and arranged about the base of the white cake were white plastic slippers filled with American Beauty roses, bows of net ribbons and white wedding bells. White candles in crystal holders were arranged about the cake and lilies of the valley were tucked in with the American Beauty red bows on the candles. The cake was a gift from and made by Mrs. Alfred Bock of Manning, aunt of the bridegroom.Waitresses were six high school -classmates of the bride, Mrs, David Peterson,' Mrs. Ronnie Essing and Millie Kuhrt of Pomeroy, Mrs. Dale Schramm of Richland, Wash., Mrs. Bill Hammen of Clear Lake and Janet Seehusen of Siohx City; also twt cousins, Carol Ann Johnson of Auburn and Marilyn Johnson of Joplin, Mo, They wore white aprons with- American Beauty red trim, gifts from the bride,Two aunts, Mrs, A.1 Bock of Man-nin| Jand Mrs; Frank Johnson ofMiss Juanita Lange, bride-elect, was complimented with a miscellaneous shower in the parish hall of St. Mary’s Catholic church on Tuesday of last week. Hostesses were Mrs. Enno Reitmeier, Mrs. Cass Reitmeier, Mrs. Bernard Guggisberg, Mrs. Keven Hammen, Mrs. Donald Hammen, Mrs. Wayne Hansen, Mrs. Lester O’Toole, all of Jolley, Mrs. Zeno Hammen, Mrs. Clara Hammen and Shirley of Pomeroy.The bride-elect was presented with a corsage of three baby orchids. Her mother, Mrs. Harry Lange, and her fiance’s mother, Mrs. Lawrence Hammen, each received a corsage.The program consisted of a vocal solo by Alice Ann Cain who sang “Because”, accompanied by Carol Klaassen. Several groups took part in a parade of brides dressed in wedding gowns made of newspaper which were later judged and prizes awarded. Carol Klaassen was the pianist for the procession. The program closed with the singing of “I Love You Truly” by the group, accompanied by Corrine McGowan.The gift table, which was decorated in the bride’s chosen colors of orchid and yellow, was centered with a tiny decorated parasol in a bowl of mixed flowers, flanked by a bride doll and bridesmaid doll.Mrs. Wayne Hansen, Shirley and Linda Hammen assisted in unwrapping the gifts.A tray lunch was served using the appointments in the bride's chosen colors. 60 shared in the courtesy.Miss Lange was again feted at a personal shower given by Mrs. Wm. Hammen of Clear Lake at the Zeno Hammen home on Tuesday evening, June 4. 12 schoolmates shared inthe courtesy.The honoree was presented with a corsage of yellow and orchid iris. The evening was spent in playing games and visiting after which refreshments were served.
