Mrs. Timothy Moris McSwainMcSwain-JohnstonPEARISBURG, Va. — Mary Louise Johnston and Timothy Moris McSwain, both of Charlotte, were married May 29 at Pearisburg Presbyterian Church. The Revs. C. Alan Harvey and Andrew Smith officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Robert Good Johnston of Pearisburg and the late Robert Goode Johnston. She is a graduate of William and Mary College and Radford University, where she received her master’s degree. She is employed by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Charlotte.The bridegroom, son of Moris and Linda McSwain of Gastonia, is a graduate of Wake Forest University. He is employed by NationsBank, Charlotte, and Westminster Presbyterian Church, Charlotte.Robert Alan Johnston of Charleston, W.Va., gave his sister in marriage. Mary Angela Hawke of New York was the matron of honor.Bridesmaids were Janice Lynn Rozzano of Charlotte and Meredith Sherrill McSwain of Gastonia. Robert Alan Johnston Jr. of Charleston was the ring bearer.Moris McSwain was his son’s best man. Ushers were Stephen Lyn McSwain of Gastonia, James Bradley Carlton of Charlotte,John Glenn Morris III of Charlottesville, and David King Johnston of Roanoke.A reception was hosted by the bride’s mother at the church following the ceremony. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom’s parents at Maxwell’s, Blacksburg.The couple will live in Charlotte.
