St. Jean Baptiste NewsDupuis — Fosty wed in St. Jeanby Mrs Barbara GodardA double-ring ceremony was solemnized on May 19 at 4:00 p.m. in the St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, when Joan Fosty, daughter of Mr and Mrs Peter Fosty of Zhoda exchanged marriage vows with Dennis Dupuis, son of Mr and Mrs Aime Dupuis of St. Jean Baptiste, Father David Roy officiated with Luc Dupuis, brother of the groom, as altar boy.The bride looked lovely in her floor-length gown of white polyester crepe with white satin floral trimming. She wore a Juliet cap with a long veil and carried red roses:Maid of honour, Jackie Fosty, and bridesmaids Pat Fosty, Bernice Fehr and Joyce Peters wore gowns of mauve nylon with white bodices, white floppy hats trimmed withmauve and white and mauve bouquets of flowers.Mother of the groom wore a gown of pink nylon lace and a corsage of red roses. The mother of the bride wore a gown of nylon floral print and a corsage of red roses.Bestman was Bernard Dupuis and ushers were Eugene Fosty, Raymond St. Goddard and Jean Comeault. Master of ceremonies was Donald Dupuis, brother of the groom. He also proposed the toast to the bride. Supper and reception took place in Zhoda National Hall. On return from a honeymoon, the couple will reside in Winnipeg.
