MISS CHERRY GENE W. W. LUKER AREMiss Cherry Gene Lewellen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 0. D. Lewellen of Belton and Willie Wayne (Billy) Luker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd B. Luker Sr., of Jarrell were married Saturday evening in the First United Methodist Church. Rev. John McKee, pastor ol' the church, read the double ring vows, at 8 o’clock.Miss Janna Pechal was organist.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal wedding gown of white peau de satin, featuring an empire waistline. The hem and the elbow length sleeves were trimmed with wide lace, and a train of peau de satin extended from the waist, accented with a fabric bow.Mrs. Wayne Billeck was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Lucinda Lewellen of Temple; Mrs. Joe Arrott of Palo Pinto and Mrs. Carol P. Dugger Jr. of Austin. Two of the attendants wore pastel blue and two pastel green in gowns of floor length slipper satin fashioned with empire waists. They carried nosegays of blue-tinted mums.Lloyd B. Luker of Leander was his brother’s bestman. Groomsmen were Pete Edward Marti nka of Waco; Lynn Lay of Liberty Hill and Bob Harris of Austin. Ushers were Max Schuebel of Houston and Bill McClure of LaPryor.A reception was held in the church fellowship hall after theLEWELLEN AND WED SATURDAYceremony. Mrs. Frank L. Vasicek of Temple registered the guests. Serving at the bride’s table were Mrs. Bob Harris of Austin; Mrs. L. B. Luker Jr., of Leander and Miss Lucy Lay of Liberty Hill. At the groom’s table were Mrs. Pete Edward Martinka of Waco; Mrs. Bill McClure of Liberty Hill and Miss Lori Lay of Liberty Hill.Members of the houseparty were Mrs. H. E. Altum of Belton; Mrs. S. R. Schwake of Salado; Mrs. E, H. Hannon and Mrs. Max Schuebel of Houston; Mrs. Harrell Lay of Liberty Hill, Miss Cathy Schuebel of Houston distributed rice bags.The bride is a graduate of Belton High School, attended Temple Junior College and Mary Hardin-Baylor College. The groom is a graduate of Jarrell High School.The groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luker, were hosts for the rehearsal dinner at River Forest Restaurant Friday evening.After a wedding trip to the Texas coast, the couple will live in Liberty Hill.CTRPC MEETING IN KILLEEN MONDAYThe general membership of the Central Texas Regional Planning Commission will meet Monday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m.The meeting will be held in the city hall in Killeen.
