Ladner, Rt. 2,Prayer as the benediction. Miss Thompson played the traditional wedding marches as the processional and recessional.The bride, given in marriage by her eldest brother, Johnnie B. Ladner Jr., Lumberton, wore a wedding gown of white Chantilly lace over bridal satin, designed' with a fitted midriff. The bodice featured scalloped neckline and long sleeves ending in calla points. Seed pearls and iridescent sequins outlined the neckline and petal points and also decorated the apron effect of the lace skirt posed over a cascade of white organza ruffles. The lace draped to the back where it was caught with a white organza bow and fell into a chapel-length train of organza ruffles and lace. Her fingertip veil of illusion, edged with lace, was held in place by a white satin pillbox embroidered with- seed pearls. She carried a bride’s white Bible mounted with a cascade bouquet of white orchids. Her only jewelry was earrings which her sister had worn at her wedding.Mrs. Johnnie B. Stewart, sister of the bride, was matron of honor,and Mrs. Leonard Ladner, Orange Grove, her sister-in-law, was special matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Misses Dorothy Brownlee, Shirley Rieblin, Katherine Page, Ann Moore, Florence Spiers and Bonita Rushing. Junior bridesmaids were Misses Brenda Jackson, Pansy Moore, Linda Daugh-drill, Joan Tapp, Barbara Bond and Brenda Favre. Flower girls were Diane Spiers and Wanda Favre. Ring bearers were Shryle Page and Tommy Lee Hammons who carried the ring on white satin heart pillows edged in pink lace ruffles.J. H. Monroe, Roadhouse. 111., served his grandson as bestman, and Johnnie B. Stewart, brother-in-law of the bride, was special best man. Groomsmen were Tommy Pittman, Leonard Ladner, brother of the bride: HarveyNobles, A2c Claude C. Brown, Chester Vamado and Lionerl Ladner. Junior groomsmen were Johnny Earl Spiers, Justin Spiers, Ernie Spiers, Donnie Sylvia, Leonard Sylvia and Coy Ladner, a brother of the bride. Ushers were A2c Jeffrey M. Rafarge and A2c Arthur B. Turner Jr., Keesler AFB.Followdng the ceremony a reception was held at the Gulfport West Side Community House where the couple were assisted in receiving by the bride’s parents, the groom’s mother and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Monroe.The bride’s ta b 1 e, p 1 a ced against a background of native myrtle, was covered in white satin overlaid with embroidered net. Centering^ the table was the four-tiered wedding cake, iced in white sugar roses. The top layer was separated by white columns in white swans and topped with a bride and groom under a bower of lace and ma-line. Ivy and white waxed orchids encircled the cake. Crystal candelabra held white tapers and a center epergne of ivy and white orchids. A crystal punch bowl at each end of the table completed the appointments. After the bride and groom cut the first slice of cake, it was served by Mrs. Johnnie B. Ladner Jr., assisted byMrs. Inez Bourgoyne. Tea girls were Misses Delphia Bond, Patricia Ellington, Debbie Hammons, Janice Rieblin, Patricia Brownlee and Janet Rushing.Mrs. Leonard F. Sylvia, aunt of the bride, was in charge of the guest register at a table covered in white satin overlaid with a lace cloth and decorated with an anniversary candle encircled with ivy and white waxed orchids. A table covered with lace under a cluster of large white wedding bells held the many wedding gifts.Later in the evening, Mr. and Mrs. Shay left on a wedding trip to Silver Springs, Fla., the bride wearing for traveling a navy blue and white two-piece suit with white accessories and a white orchid corsage. They will be at home after June 10 at Travis AFB, Calif.Mrs. Shay attended Harrison Central High School. Mr. Shay is a graduate of Mt. Si High School in Washington where he was a member of the footballand track teams. He is serving with the U. S.
