A tea given Sunday, May 25, in Fernandina Beach, Fla., pro vided the occasion for the in troduction of Miss Linda Kay Smith to friends of her fiancee’s family. Miss Smith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas L. Smith of Farmer ville, formerly of Monroe and Florida. Miss Smith will become the bride of John William McClane ,HE, son of Dr. and Mrs. John WW. McClane Jr., on June 21 in Fernandina Beach Memorial “United Methodist Church. Sev eral Monroe and North Louisi ana residents, will appear in the wedding party. Hostesses for the event held in the Party Room overlooking the water of Amelia South Con dominiums on Amelia Island i Plantation, were Mrs. Jackie Stubbs, Mrs. Shirley Bohannon, ‘Mrs. Irma Malone, Mrs. Pat ‘Snyder, Mrs. Gretta Campbell, Mrs. Ann Dickens, Mrs. Wilma Bunch and Mrs. Evelyn Tarl ton. The bride’s chosen colors of yellow and green were depicted in appointments of the room ,which was also in the designat ed shades. Yellow roses and ivy were featured in the decor. Miss Smith received with the mother of her fiance, and as sisting in the courtesies was his sister, Miss Joy McClane. The bride- elect wore a long dress for blue and white check and a wrist corsage of yellow roses. She was presented with a gift for silver in her chosen pattern ‘by the hostesses. Two hundred guests called during the appointed hours of 2 sand 5 p.m. to meet the bride elect.
