MarriageannouncedJoan Marlene Burgess and Stephen Keith Ruegg were married Saturday by the Rev. Forrest MacDonald at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church in Scottsdale, Ariz.Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William Burgess, Overland Park, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Ruegg, Dearfield, 111.Wanda Barrett, Topeka, attended the bride and the best man was Lee Evans, Phoenix, Ariz.The bride is a graduate of Highland Park High School. She attended the University of Queensland, Australia, and is noyi a senior at Kansas University, majoring in physical education.Mr. Ruegg is a graduate of St. Anthony's Seminary in Santa Barbara, Calif. He attended Allan Hancock College, Santa Maria, Calif., and is now a sophomore at Washburn University, majoring in psychology. Both are employed by Kansas Neurological Institute.The couple is now making their home in Topeka.
