Double Wedding CeremonyUnitesMissBeckiBeamonCorsicana Daily Sun, Sunday, May 27, 1973-5A.Johnny Robinson1MissDebbieBeamonThe College Hill Church of Christ was the setting for the double wedding ceremony uniting Miss Becki Beamon andJohnny Robinson, and Miss Debbie Beamon and Barney Gaines. David Mahoney was the officiating minister at the wedding, which was held Friday, May 18 at 8 p.m.Miss Becki Beamon and Miss Debbie Beamon are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Blair Beamon, Route One. Robinson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Robinson of Hillsboro, and Gaines is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Verne T. Gaines, Route Two, Corsicana.The brides’ honor attendants were Miss Joan Moore, Becki‘s maid of honor, and Miss Janet Murphy, Debbie Beamon’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Celia Parrish and Miss Ann Winters.Robinson’s attendants were Mike Dobbs of Hillsboro, best man; Gary Radke and Neal Whitten, both of Hillsboro, ushers; and Lee Barker of Grandview, groomsman. Brian Olsen of Irving, cousin of the brides was Becki’s ring-bearer, and Miss Debbie Kirby was herflower girl.Gaines attendants were Paul Beamon, cousin of the brides, best man; Thomas Murphy II and Jerry Horner, ushers; and Terry Nelson, groosman. Miss Holli Olsen of Irving, cousin of the brides, was Debbie's flower girl, and Todd Gaines of Irving, nephew of the groom was ring-bearer. Candlelighters were Steven Gaines, Denison, and David Webster of McKinney.Vows were exchanged before an altar which featured a large arrangement of yellow gladiolas and blue carnations. Two floor eandelabras were trimmed with ivy and accented with blue and yellow ribbons.Barney GainesMRS. JOHNNY DEE ROBINSONNee Becki BeamonWedding music was providedby a a choir consisting of sopranos Mrs. Wayne Oldroyd and Nelli Hernandez; altos Mrs. Carl Garner and Mrs. Ben Acock; tenors Carl Garner and Dan Gannon; and bases Don Bowen and Mike Kilpatrick. They sang “God is I,ove,” “I’ll Always Be True,” “Faithful and True,” “God’s Mercy and Love,” and “The Lord Bless You and Keep You.”The two brides were escorted by their father, Blair Beamon. Becki chose a gown of Nylon Organza with Empire waist with an overlay of imported Venice lace on the bodice. The dress featured full sleeves withVenice lace cuffs and a large, gathered ruffle at the hemline trimmed in imported lace. She wore a floor-length Mantilla veil of bridal illusion with lace trim, and carried a bouquet of blue daisies and tiny white rosebuds centered with a white orchid.Debbie chose a gown of nylon Organza with Empire waist and imported lace bodice. The dress featured a full, A-line skirt and full sleeves with layer-look trim of Venice lace. The gown had wide cuffs of lace, and the veil was a full-length Mantilla of imported bridal illusion trimmed with imported lace. She also carried a bouquet ofblue daisies and white rosebuds centered with a white orchid. As the brides went down the aisle, they presented their mother with long-stemmed yellow roses. After the wedding, they gave yellow roses to Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Gaines.The maids of honor wore gowns of yellow flocked material with long, full sleeves and wide cuffs, fitted waistlines, and full skirts with wide ruffles. They carried bouquets of yellow daisies. The two bridesmaids wore blue gowns of the same style as the maids of honor, and carried bouquets of blue daisies.The two flower-girl wore blue flocked dresses with tiny puffed sleeves and full skirts trimmed in wide white lace ruffles; they carried white lace bridal baskets filled with blue daisies and yellow daisies.The reception following the ceremony was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Beamon. The entrance hall featured a table with two bride’s books and centered with a large blue candle; blue and yellow feathered pens were used to register in the books. Miss Wanda Homer assisted at Mrs. Gaines’ book, and Mrs. Darrell Olsen assisted at Mrs. Robinson’s book.Other members of the houseparty were Suzanne Thompson, Wiletta Farmer, Belinda Wrinkle, Susan Garrison, Mrs. Bob Quinn, Mrs. Solan Bailey and Paula Flynn. They assisted in serving cake and punch at the table which featured two brides’s cakes and a centerpiece of yellow gladiolas and blue daisies; the other table held two groom’s cakes and a silver coffee service.For her daughters’ wedding, Mrs. Beamon wore a gown ofMRS. BARNEY TAYLOR GAINESNee Debbie Beamonmint green satin with an overlay of chiffon with anEmpire waist, wide satin belt, and jeweled buckle.Mrs. Robinson chose a beige knit gown with long sleeves and pleated skirt with fluted hem and jeweled belt. Mrs. Gaines wore a blue A-line knit dress with long sleeves.sleeveless bodice and a jacket of blue and white check with a blue collar. After a trip to Ruidoso, New Mexico, the couple will reside in Hillsboro, where the groom is employed by Carinichel Electric Co.In the garden reception the main feature of the decorations was yellow candles in decorated holders, which framed the doors and the walkways.For the wedding trip, Mrs. Robinson wore a blue and white checked knit dress with a yellowMrs. Gaines wore a red and white long-sleeved dress with pleated skirt and navy accessories. After a trip toGalveston, the couple willreside in Corsicana until Juiv,when they will move toMillington, Texas, where the groom will be stationed.
