''V V-yHaivorsenThe Nevv*Celebrated at TwoCHILDREN HOST RECEPTIONIt Was Golden Date for PairMr. and Mrs. John Renck-ens celebrated their 50thwedding anniversary at areception hosted by their children in the San Fernando Elks lodge and a family party in their Pacoima residence.A high mass at Mary Immaculate Church was celebrated preceding the event in their home.The two were married in Dunkirk, N.Y., which washome town for both of them. They moved in 1949 to their present home from Cassada-ga, N.Y., where he operated a hotel.A veteran of World War I, he was in the meat-cutting business during the early years of their marriage and later worked in a defense plant for four years.In 1950 he purchased a business in the city of San Fernando and sold it three■Smyears later. Semi - retirednow, he is working on a part-time basis for his son in a Van Nuys meat market.He is an active member of the San Fernando Elks Lodge, the World War I American Legion Post and the San Fernando American Legion Post.Both Mr. and Mrs. Renek-ens spend leisure hoursworking in their flower garden.Among guests were their best man and maid of honor at the wedding, Paul and Mary Renckens.Attending from out of town were the Paul Renck-enses with Miss Mary Renckens and Mrs. Amelia Zacharias from Dunkirk, N.Y., and Mrs. Frances Gunter of Mobile, Ala.Sons and daughters who honored them included Mr. and Mrs. John Renckens Jr. of Chatsworth, William Renckens of Panorama City, Col. Gail Famham and Mrs. Famham of Sacramento (he canie from Travis Air Force Base),and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Salhoff of Pacoima.They have nine grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.Oil—
