* TERRITORY SOCIAL * *********Schelts-Roed Wsddlnf *1 LvVcra* ChurchZion Lutheran church at Lu-verne was the setting Sunday afternoon of the wedding of Miss Hetty Schultz and Roy E. Roed. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schultz of Lu-vern and the bridegroom is the ton of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Roed of Exira. Rev. Louis Wittenburg read the double ring ceremony before an alter decorated with candles -and bridal wreath in the presence of 200 guests.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white floor length bridal gown. The skirt of net over satin was topped by a bodice and peplum of rhantilly lace with long pointed sleeves. Her blusher veil fell from a lace cap outlined with pearls into a long train. A single t trend of pearls was the bridegroom’s gift. White feathered carnations tied with satin were her bouquet flowers. Mrs. Earl Gron-beck, her sister’s matron of honor, wore yellow net over taffeta and Miss Lela Klllen of Des Moines and Miss Sally Roscnquist were bridesmaids. Theiif sheer gowns wero green and lavender. The attendants carried colonial nosegays. Miss Chlea Dawn Wil-ken, flower girl, wore lavendersatin. Chester Roed of Indlanola was his brother’s best man. Other groomsmen were Delbert Killen, Exira and Clark Mahannah from Omaha. Ushers were Dennis Schultz and Norman Madsen. Mrs. E.L. Meyers played traditional wedding marches and Mrs. Herman Wilken sang “Ich Liebe Dich” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”At the reception in the church parlors, there were 150 guests. The bridal couple left for a wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells. For traveling Mrs. Roed wore a navy sit with white iccessories and a red rose corsage. The couple will live in Des Moines where both will attend summer sessionat Drake university.The bride, who attended Buena Vista and Iowa State college, is a teacher at Bradgate, and her husband is principal there. Mr. Roed is a Drake U. graduate.Attending the nuptials from the Exira vicinity were Mrs. Pete Johnson, grandmother of the bridegroom; the Messrs. and Mmes. Martin Roed, Pete Killen and Delbert, Andy Jepsen, Elmer Roed, John Johnson, Royce and Ramona; John Schlater, Leonard Schlater, Herbert Wulf, Mrs. John Wulf and Dr. and Mrs. W. G. Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roed of Anita also attended the wedding.
