Engagement of Annabel Ellis and Eli Hankins AnnouncedOf interest to many friends is the announcement of the engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Annabel Ellis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Ellis, of this city to Mr. Eli Hankins, of Houston, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Hankins, of Robstown.Miss Ellis has lived in Kingsville nearly all of her life where she received her early schooling in the city schools and her degree from Texas A. and I. College with the class of 1935. The past two years she has been a member of the Kingsville Public School faculty.Announcement of the engagement and approaching marriage was made at an entertainment given by Mrs. Ellis in her home on West King avenue, Saturday evening attended by twenty-five close friends of the bride-elect.A color motif of white and pink was given tasteful accent in all detals of decoration and appointments. From the lace covered table embossed angel food squares, punch, salted nuts and mints were served.
