Popular Dickens Girl’s Marriage Is AnnouncedMBS. LEONARD E. THIELAnnouncement Is made by ira. A, Hugh Warner of Minneapolis of the secret marriage of her sister, Miss Kellie Buth Thompson of Dickens, to Mr. Leonard E. Thiel pf Everly which was solemnized Saturday, April 8, at the parsonage of the Methodist Episcopal church at Sioux Falls, 5. D., with the pastor, the Rev, Robertson, officiating.The announcement comes as a complete and pleasant surprise to the many friends of the couple.For the ceremony Mrs. Thiel was attired in an ensemble of blue silk. Miss Anna Rae Hall accompanied the couple as witness at the nuptials. Before locating In their furnished home in Everly the couple took a wedding trip to Minneapolis.Mrs. Thiel, who was grauated from the Spencer high school and has taken several summer courses at Iowa State Teachers' college. Cedar Falls, has successfully taught in public sohools at Lake Park, Luverne, Lake Center, and for the past several years she has been in-structor of the fourth, fifth and 1 sixth grades in the Dickens school. a She has been prominent in many P community projects at Dickens, and * was superintendent of the junior 1 department of the Methodist Sun- e day school. DMr. Thiel is in business in Ev- ® erly as restaurant owner. ^As a compliment to the recent ^ bride, several Dickens ladies presided as hostesses at a post-nuptial . shower Thursday afternoon of this _ -i. ^ i_____a if cweek at the home of Mrs. Thiel’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and ; Mrs. Charlie Thompson, Dickens.Hostesses besides Mrs. Thompson were Mrs. Pearl Jones, Mrs. Lola Van Hoven, Mrs. Fern Herrig, Miss Anna Kae Hall,-Mrs. George Raab, Mrs. Gertrude LaRue, and Mrs. t May Carter. Approximately ’ one ' hundred guests had been issued invitations.
