May 18 in Highland Heights Baptist Church in Benton. Parents of the couple are Mr and Mrs James McCool and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Miller all of Benton.Rev. J. C. McClenny officiated at the ceremony.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an Empire gown of peau bridal satin fashioned with Alencon lace accented with seed pearls. Her veil of illusion fell from a lace headpiece trimmed with seed pearls. She carried a nosegay of white carnations, and blue baby’s-breath.Janey McCool served her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Stephanie Stewart and Miss Marilyn Griffin. Lisa and Tina McCool, sisters of the bride, served as candle lighters Raye Ann McCool. sister of the bride, served as flower girl and Johnny Miller, nephew of the groom, served as ringbearer.Best man was Tony Magby. cousin of the groom. Ushers were Charles Miller, brother of the groom, and Timothy Bullard, cousin of the bride.Fortnightly Club holds luncheonMrs G.C Raper and Mrs. Mary Lee Hansen entertained the members of the Fortnightly Club with a pot luck luncheon Thursday, May 17. Mrs. John Smith was hostess in absentia.Arrangements of magnolia blossoms were placed at vantage points throughout the house. Members attending were Jeanette Alsobrook, Wells Alsobrook. Helen Blakley. Elise Davis. Sibyl Holiman, Helen Hughes. Anne Jones, Lucile Leech. Elizabeth Reeves. Bernice Stirman and Billy Henry.Helen Hughes presided over the brief business session. The club voted to resume regular meetings in September.Groomsmen were Kelley Parker and RandyCaldwell.Nuptial music was provided by Cheryl Greene. soloist, and Diane Teague, pianist, cousins of the bride. Organist was Diana Gray ofBenton.A reception was held at the church. After a short trip the couple is at home in Benton.bridal party honors Jan GreenMiss Jan Green, bride-elect of Michael Wade Jackson of Little Rock, was honored at a china shower given by Mrs. Dorothy Berry, 7011 W. Markham, Little Rock, Simday afternoon.
