Katherine Radke, Donald Speitel Exchange Vows In Nuptial MassKatherine Louise Radke he- sic provided was “Avecame the bride of Donald Clay Speitel during a nuptal mass ceremony performed at 21 a.m. Saturday at St, Joseph Catholic Church with the Father Alexander Stolarski officiating.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Radke of 30S S. Colfax St.. and the groom is the son of Mrs. Don Speitel of 924 Sherman St., and the late Don Speitel.Matching gold vases of lavender mums flanked the altar and white aisle carpet and white satin pew markers completed the church decor.Mrs. Avis Higgins accompanied soloist, Al Dunn. Mu-Maria”, “On This Day Oh Beautiful Mother”, and “Prayer for a Perfect Day”.The bride presented a bouquet of white and lavender baby mums at the Blessed Virgin altar,THE BRIDE appeared in a floor-lerigth, A-line dress of .dacron and cotton embroidery accented with lace stripes. The high waist line gown featured short puffed sleeves accented with ruffles of cluney lace which also accented the neckline. A full length train of the same material was attached at the waist by a satin band. The three-tier veil of silk illusion was secured by aribbon bow of lace. The gown was designed ami made b.v the bride as was her going away dross. She carried a colonial arrangement ot lily of flic valley and white carnations accented with lavender satin tufts. A removable corsage centered the bridal bouquet..Mrs. Connie KisMer of Mun-rie, attended her sister as matron of honor in a floor* length aver.der frock of chiffon ova* taffeta. The gown was fashioned with a round neckline and puffy sleeves trimmed with pink lace appliques, as was the bodice. She carried a colonial arrangement of lavender carnations.Mike O’Rourke, city, attended as best man.The bride’s mother was gifted with a white corsage, as was the groom’s mother. The groom’s grandmother, hostesses and guest registrar weregifted with carnation corsages.A RECEPTION was held In St. Joseph School hall where the couple greeted 150 guests. The serving table wa sadom-ed with a lavender satin skirt and nylon embroidery overskirt. Silver candelabra completed the setting. The threetiered cake was decorated with sugar bells, roses, lily of the valley and topped with fresh lavender carnations. Hostesses were Miss Kay Speitel, sister of the groom; Mrs, Nancy Swisher and Mrs. Pam Schroder. Miss Betty Speitel, sister of the groom, registered guests.The bride will begin nurses training at the Indiana University extension at Kokomo in June. Employed with Chrysler in Kokomo, the groom also plans to begin schooling in June at the Kokomo extension of IU.The bride departed for a short wedding trip in a dress with puff sleeves and small collar in the same material as the wedding gown.
