New people will not have the fun of meeting a great man who was a legend himself but those of us who were lucky enough to have known, him will carry that legend with us always close to our hearts.The Allen Murphys, Robbie and Starr Anderson left yesterday for a visit at Beaver Creek Ranch Rimrock, Arizona. Elsie lised to own Beaver Creek Ranch several years ago and this is her first trip back since she lived there.Vivienne and Jack Jennings had a very gay cocktail party Sunday afternoon at their pretty home in the desert.Hope and Junie Pratt entertained last weekend on both'Friday and Saturday nights with suppers beside their beautiful swimming pool. Among the guests were Frances and Jim Meloy, Alice and John McChesney, Patty Judson, Betsy and Gray Madison, Jackie and Dan Norton, Ruth Me-lin, Tom Darlington, Marie and Bill Thorne, Elsie and Allen Murphy, Robbie Robertson, the Murphy’s houseguest, and Julia and Bill Swanson.Mary How gave a farewell party for Jack and Tom Yonts Friday night with a barbecue outdoors in her pretty patio. Tom is Sales Manager for Reynolds Metal here and is being transferred to Atlanta, Georgia.Billy Ives left Wednesday for Naw York to pick up a swanky new Lincoln convertible, and Ruth Melin and Lil Darlington, Tom Darlington's sister - iijjj- law, drove down to Alamos, Mexico on Monday for a few days. Mary Ann and Jerry Louchheim are spending a few days in my favorite spot, Guaymas, Mexico. How I envy them.Our very best wishes for lots and lots of happiness to Harold and Florence Daughtery who were married Tuesday afternoon by Father Mulvihill, and then toasted on their way by all their friends at a rip-snorting reception at the Griffith Ranch. Velma whipped up the best tasting food and Rachel Ellis baked the prettiest and besttasting wedding cake ever!Jane and Ed Gaines wished Kax an Bob Herberger farewell last Saturday at a barbecue at their home. Bob left last night.Marg and Link Brigham had a unique party Saturday to which all the guests were asked to wear their service uniforms. It was really a sight to behold! It seems that there are very few people who have not changed size and shape in the past few years.
