The colored people of this and adjoining counties celebrated the adoption of the Fifteenth' Amendment In this city to-day. There were at least one thousand in attendance. After proceeding through the principal afreets, a large meeting was held in a grove, and speeches were made by Rev. Isaac Williams, (colored), Hon. James A. Williamson, Dr. Teagne and others of this city.
