Raithel, Wegmansay vowsMiss Constance Marie Raithel became the bride of John Louis Wegman Saturday in a 7:30 p.m. candlelight mass at St. Joseph Cathedral, Jefferson City. The Rev. Richard Cronin officiated at the double ring ceremony.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert H. Raithel, Schott Road. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob B. Wegman, 1101 Winston Dr.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a qiana jersey gown designed with a stand-up collar of alencon lace. The bodice was accented by a sheer V effect of lace with seed pearls and crystal beading. Her veil was secured to a headpiece of lace and pearls.Mrs. John Hathcock, Springfield, Va., was her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Gailoa Franken, 1603 St. Mary’s Blvd., Mrs. Tom Smith, 2315 Knight Valley Dr., and Mrs. Steve Howard, 2431 St. Louis Rd.The attendants wore six gored skirts and jackets of green jersey. They wore yellow roses and daisies in their hair.Flower girl was Sarah Jane Prenger, daughter of Capt. and Mrs. Larry Prenger, Honolulu, Hawaii. Ring bearer was Jonathan Hathcock, son of Lt. and Mrs. John Hathcock, Springfield, Va.Jim Skain, 1422 Dixon Dr., served as best man. Groomsmen were Jack Pollock, Washington, DC., Bob Bom, St. Louis, and Dave Muckerman, Dodge City, Kan.Mrs. John L. WegmanUshers were Ken Kuebler, St. Charles, and Ron Thomas, 1627 W. Main St.The reception and dance were held at the Hermitage Room, Ramada Inn. Miss Helen Natsch attended the guest book Mrs. Max Foresman was in charge of the gift table. Miss Christine Raithel and Miss Brenda Raithel served the wedding cake. Miss Mary Helen Wallau assisted generally.After their wedding trip to Oahu, Hawaii, the couple will reside in Jefferson City.The bride is a 1972 graduate of Helias High School. She attended Lincoln University and is employed with the Missouri Department of Revenue. The groom is a 1971 graduate of Helias High School and is a 1975 graduate of the University of Missouri-Rolla. He is employed as a computer analyst with the Missouri Public Service Commission.The groom’s parents entertained Friday night at their home with a dinner party to honor the couple.
