Lilley, widow of the late Albert P. Lilley, who passed away at the home of .Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Armstrong. 1^5 Pafton street, at 2 o'clock. Death re suited from a siege of Bright's disease from which Mrs. Lilley had leen a sufferer for the past nine weeks. Besides this last afBiction the deceased had been a sufferer for the past several years from various other all-nsents, namely, loss of sight, paralysis and a genera] breaking down of the physit^l and mental systems. Mrs. Lilley was born in Cassadaga. N. Y.. Jan. sr. IS31. being the daughter of Joshua Layman and Eilzabeth Travis Laymen. When the subject of this sketch was but three years of age her parents moved to LaPorte county, settling near Kingsbury, where she grew to young womanhood and was married to Albert P. Lilley. For several j-ears after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Lilley continued to reside in that vicinity, eventually though mov-Jng to LaPorte. where they took up their residence on Indiana avenue. In the home now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. James Hannum. After the death of Mr. Lilley the Indiana avenue property was sold and Mrs. Lilley took up her residence with relatives until a months ago when she engaged rooms with Mt. and Mrs. Armstrong. Besides two daughters. Mrs. Daisy Armstrong and Mrs. Clara Copelin. the former of tblg city and the latter of Kingsbury, the deceased Is survived !)v one sister. Mrs. Amanda Glover of Cassopolis. Mich., two brothers. Th»jpi-as and Joshua Lajmien, Lincoln. Neb., and two grandchildren, Zanita Copelin and Viola Armstrong. .Besides the two daughters two sons were bom to Mr. and Mrs. Lilley. Frederick, who died at the age of 5 years, and Curtis, who died at the age of 16 years. Thefuneral will be held from the Friends church, FViday afternoon at 2 o'clock, interment taking place at Patton cemetery. A. Cutler is in charge. i
