Bones Buried80-100 YearsA pile of human bones uncovered along the Manitowoc River last week were identified as being buried 80 to 100 years ago by a Manitowoc pathologist, according to the Manitowoc Police Dept.Police said Dr. John Fodden described the 10 bones as being from the left side of a 30-year-old male who died 80 to 100 years ago.Dr. Fodden went on to say that the man was musclar in build and apparently in good health before his death. He was believed to be about 5-feet~6 in height and slim.The pile of bones was unearthed by James Tennant of 105 N. 4lst St. May 13. Tennant was working the ground in an area 500 feet from the old horseshoe bend bridge when the discovery was made. The dirt mound reportedly had not been disturbed for 15 to 20 years.
