A strong guard under Major McLeod of Winnipeg, was aboard the train and there were 120 men of the 45th Battalion, under Col. ( lark and lt;1apt. Kolemau to accompany the men on their way to tin* winter fair Arena via Ninth street from the depot, The speeial train was made up of live cars, with one baggage ear and one brake van. No trouble what(*ver was experienced in unloading the prisoners, who appeared to be very glad that their wanderings were nearing an end.
