ANNOUNCE MARRIAGE ...The marriage of Miss Bertha Mae Lewis to Mr. Goffrey Troutt was announced at the Chi Delta Chi dance at Carbondale Friday night,, May 12. The single ring ceremony was performed October 22, 1938 by Rev. McGoy in Veedersburg, Indiana. The young couple were attended by Miss Imogene Redfearn and Mr. Dolph Souther. The bride was exquisitely clad in a lovely gold and black dress with black suede accessories. Her attendant wore a lovely blue velvet frock with suede accessories. Both the groom and his attendant wore dark brown suits.Mrs. Troutt is the charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louie E. Lewis of Springfield formerly of this city. She has been employed as secretary to her father, State Treasurer, since January.Mr. Troutt is the son of Mrs. Carrie Troutt of this city. At present he is a student at S. I. N. U.All of their many friends join in wishing them a happy future.
