MISS INEZ HAWKMiss Inez Hawk, S. Howard to WedLAKE DALLAS, May 17— (Spl)—Mr. and Mrs. John Hawk of Lake Dallas have announced the engagement of their daughter. Miss Inez Hawk, to Stephen A. Howard, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Howard of Dallas. The date of the wedding has not been definitely set.Miss Hawk is a graduate of Lewisville High School. She was valedictorian of her class and was voted “prettiest girl” in a school contest.Mr. Howard, a graduate of Technical High School in Dallas, served three years with a submarine division in the Navy. He returned in 1846 to his position with the Texas Co. in Dallas, where the couple plan to live.Mrs. J. T. Hawk of Denton and Miss Fayma Hawk of Lake Dallas entertained last Saturday evening with a surprise shower honoring the betrothed couple.Those attending were Mrs. Leona Duggan, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Francis and son, Johnny, Mr. Rnd Mrs. Blackie Shahan and son, David. all of Denton; Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Hawk of Lewisville; Mr. and Mrs. W, R. Hawk. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hawk. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Hawk, and Mrs. Maggie Deering, all of Argyle; and the bride -elect’s parents.
