L-omns—inockOne of the prettiest weddings of the season was solemnized in Tem-peranceville Methodist Church et high noon, Thursday, May 6th, when Miss Ruby Elizabeth Nock, daughter of Mr. Wm. L. Nock and the late Mrs. Blanche Nock, became the bride of Mr. Horace Eugene Collins, of Hailwood, Va.The church was most beautifully decorated with evergreens, dogwood, hawthome and ferns; candles burned around the altar; the aisles were carpeted in white, the color scheme being green and white. ’The ushers, Rev. G. E. McDorman, 1 of St. Michaels, Md., and Dr. Baily, j of Baltimore, led the bridal procession to the altar, the groom following accompanied by Mr. Fitchett, of Cape-ville, as best man. Miss Mildred Elizabeth Nock, neice of the bride, followed next carrying the ring. The bride entered with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Howard L. Nock, and was met at the altar by the Rev. Dr. Collins, of Salisbury, cousin of the groom and Rev. L. C. Moore, pastor of the bride, who performed the nuptial rites.The bride was becomingly gowned in mid-night blue tricotine with accessories to match and carried a bouquet of brides’ roses. The matron of honor wore white georgette trimmed with silver lace, black lace hat and carried sweet peas tied with tulle. The little ring bearer wore a ruffled frock of white organdy with sash of nile greeniiea wun nne green nouon.Miss Willye Evans, of Homtown, presided at the organ and rendered several selections before the hour arrived for the solemnization of the ceremony. She wore cream net with nile green sash and net poke and a corsage bouquet of flesh carnations and ferns.Before the wedding a buffet luncheon was served the bridal party and immediate friends and relatives at the brides' home, which was prettily decorated with lilac, dog wood and potted plants.Mr. and Mrs. Collins left,immediately after the ceremony for Niagara Falls, Canada and other points north. They will be at home to their friends in Hailwood, Va., after May 22nd at which place Mr. Collins is connected with the N. Y. P. and N. R. R.One was reminded of “ye ante bellum days” when just before the bridal party entered the church the old family servant, with the dignity becoming a trusted servant, was shown the family pew and stood with the family and friends, while her much loved mistress was being given into the keeping of another.The presents were many and handsome and all their friends jofn in wishing them a long and happy wedded life.The correct shapes in panamas and straw are being shown at J. S. Mills, Onancock, Va.
