Kinney, who life* been quite ill. but is now convalescent. I regret to announce the death of I'nclo George j Johnson. an old and estimable citizen, and sympathize with the many loved ! onus win* are left to mourn his death, liuth schools, (literary and music), are flourishing, and we anticipate a nice time at the exhibition. And last, but not least, we are glad to announce the marriage of Dr. J. W. Abbott, to Miss Mollie Dollar. From all accounts the uinirlage was simply grand. As I was not a guest I cannot give full details, but 1 witnessed the reception and must say Dr. Abbotthas won a fair, amiable, and fascinatingbride, one of Arkadelphia's belles. Tue grandeur and stylo with which the reception was conducted, has never been excelled in Bremen. The music, which was rendered by Miss l.ela Whorton, the music teacher, was exquisitely beautiful, especially the opening song ** Welcome.*’welcoming the bride to her new home.We would like to say something in rearil to dress, especially among theladies, ami the bride was dressed iu theheight of fashion.
