Gordon Tollefson read the service May 1 for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robbin Hammel and the son of Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Brouillard, all of Port Angeles.Baskets of white daisies, gladiolas and yellow mums formed the setting, and the bride’s cousin, Scott Woolett, was musician.The bride’s gown of white silk organza was ornamented with pearled Alencon lace on the high neckline, sheer yoke and full, gathered sleeves. The skirt’s deep circular ruffle extended Into a full chapel train covered by the veil, also ornamented with the lace. She carried a bouquet of white daisies, baby breath and ribbon and wore a blue garter and carried a sixpence in her shoe. Hilda Grey designed and made the dress.Susan Woolett, the bride’s cousin, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Parmalee Brouillard, the bridegroom’s sister, and Marlene Hammel, sister of the bride. They wore long gowns of bright yellow crepe made in halter style topped with ruffled, flowered yellow organza jackets. Each wore necklaces, which were gifts of the bride, and carried arm bouquets of white daisies with yellow ribbons. Kimberly Larsen, the bridegroom’s cousin of Forestviile, Calif., was flower girl wearing a long dress of flowered organza.Rodney Weekes served as best man and ushers were Dan Sinnes, Donald Brouillard, the bridegroom’s brother, and Martin Hammel, the bride’s brother, all of Port Angeles.The bridegroom wore a white Edwardian suit and other men of the wedding party wore white jackets and black trousers. Each wore a yellow rose boutonniere.A reception followed at the Elks Temple ballroom. Pouring were Mrs. Theo Small, the bridegroom’s grandmother, Mrs. Teresa Ballard and Mrs. Georgia Haller, grandmothers of the bride. Serving cake were Donna Ballard and Betty Manning, the bride’s aunts, and Evelyn Wollett, her cousin.Serving punch were the bride’s uncle, Dick Ballard, and her brother, Mike Hammel. Betsy Fairchild was in charge of the guest book and Jill Fairchild, the gifts.The newly married couple graduated from Port Angeles High School and the bride graduated from ITT Peterson School of Business in Seattle. Her husband attended Everett Junior College, graduated from Peninsula College and attended the University of Washington.After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will live at 13434 S.E. Fairwood Blvd. in Renton.
