Ablard—Austin Wedding May SAnnouncement has been made of the marriage of Miss Mary Ablard daughter of Roy Ablara and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs, W. K. Lortz of Williamsburg to Lt. Charles A. Austin, Jr. of Iowa City, son of Mrs. Charles A. Austin of Charleston, Illinois.The ceremony was performed Thursday evening* May 6, by the Rev. Conar Morehead, pastor of the First Methodist church of Little Rock, Arkansas. They* were attended iby Lt. and Mrs. Robert E. Lee Baldwin of Cleveland, Ohio.'Mrs. Austin attended Iowa State Teachers College and at present is teaching in the West Liberty school.Lt. Austin graduated from Eastern Illinois State College and received his M. A. degree from the State University of Iowa. He was principal of the West Liberty High School previous to his entry into the army in 1942.After the completion of the present school year, Mrs. Austin will join Lt. Austin at Tyler, Texas where he is to be stationed.The bride is well and' favorably known to all in this community. She has been engaged in teaching school, and has been a member of the West Liberty teaching force. She is rated as among the best in her profession, and her host of friends extend to the happy couple the best of good wishes.
