IRA H. ROBINETTECUMBERLAND — Ira Hoyt Robinette, 92, of Oldtowne Manor, Cumberland, formerly of Baltimore Pike, died Friday, May 10, 1996, at Memorial Hospital.Born Feb. 20, 1904, in Hewitt, Pa., he was the son of the late Francis W. Robinette and Lula Bell (Imes) Robinette. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Leona (Miller) Robi nette in 1979; two brothers, Arthur Robinette and Carl W. Robinette and one sister, Rebecca Bennett.Mr. Robinette retired from the Maryland State Highway Administration as a district equipment supervisor. He was a member of Maryland Classified Employees Association. He attended the Mt. Top Holiness Church, served on the board of directors at the Union Rescue Mission and was a board member of the Union Grove Camp Grounds.Surviving are his son, Harmon L. Robinette and wife, Arlene, Cresaptown; one daughter, Verna L. Wilson and husband, Royce, Baltimore Pike; one brother, Melvin Robinette, Cumberland; one sister, Grace V. Thomas, Cincinnati, Ohio and two grandchildren. Sharon Robinette, Cresaptown and Sam Wilson, Baltimore Pike.Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, 404 Decatur St., on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Glenn Jones officiating. Interment will be in Fellowship Cemetery, Centerville, Pa.Pallbearers will be Earl Rice, Allan Rice, Marshall Fletcher, Guy Gross Jr., James Robinette and Sam Wilson.
