Nola Schmidt of Princeton and J Robert Standley of rural Malden were united in marriage on the evening of Saturday, April 4, in the Evangelical Covenant Churchof Princeton.Pink glads and white daisies decorated the altar for the wedding. The Rev Jerome Johnson and Rev. William Beagle of the Dover Congregational Church performed the single-ringceremony.The organist was AnnetteAlbrecht. Jackie Edman Scheuer was the soloist. Songs included “Wherever Thou Goest” and “Wedding Prayer.” For her wedding, Miss Schmidt chose a full-length gown of ivory qiana and a pearl beaded tiara with a fingertip-length veil Her cameo necklace was a gift from the groom.She carried a bouquet o delicate pink and white silic roses, accented with babies'oreaih and pink streamers.The bride chose her sister, Melba Sisson of Rochester, Minn., as her maid of honor. Harry Standley of Independence, Mo., the groom s brother, served as best man.The maid of honor wore a full-length gown of qiana knit in a soft shade of pink, and carried a bouquet of white roses, pink carnations, babies breath andpink streamers.The ushers were Sylvester and Louis Schmidt of Minnesota, brothers of the bride; the groom’s son, Keith Standley of Malden and his son-in-law.Jack Lilley of Princeton.A wedding reception for 250 guests followed in the church parlors. Host and hostess were Mr and Mrs. Verner Lundgren. Helen Decker was at the guest book. The Covenant Women assisted at the reception. Ezma Zunkel cut the wedding cake, assisted by Beth Mason Wanda Miller and Linda Lyle,are unidaughters of the groom, poured punch and coffee.
