- I-Miss Elizabeth Shaffer Wed In New York City%/The marriage of Miss Elisabeth Van Vechten Shaffer, formerly of Cedar Rapids but now of New York City, to James Porterfield Hull. Jr.. i also of New York, was solemnized today at high noon at the Little Church Around the Corner in New York City.The couple were attended only by the relatives of the bride, her brother, Van Vechten Shaffer, and Mrs. Shaffer of Cedar Rapids, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Van Vechten of New York City, her uncle and aunt.Mr. and Mrs. Hull will remain in New York for a short time before going to their country place near Pomfret. Conn. for the summer.Mrs. Hull is a member of a family closely connected with the development of Cedar Rapids, being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Shaffer and a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Van Vechten.Both Mr. and Mrs Hull are graduates of the University of Cali- ; fornia and both are writers. Mrs. : Hull for several years has been connected with the Theater Guild of New York, and Mr. Hull, who also | attended Harvard, returned only recently after a year spent in Europe. ; He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. James Porterfield Hull of Stockton, Calif.
