Series of Crimes Alleged To Have Been Committed By Naulty Near Philadelphia (International News Service) NEW YORK, May 11.—Trapped by detectives in his home in Brooklyn after being hunted for 18 months, Lawrence Naulty, alias Crawford was arrested Thursday. He is want ed for a $10,800 payroll robbery and a series of other crimes alleged to have been committed near Philadel phia. With Naulty, detectives captured Ethel Wolf, a strikingly pretty girl of 21. Naulty, police say, eloped with her when he left Philadelphia, after deserting his wife and two children. Detective Crawford of Delaware county, Pennsylvania, said Naulty is the last member of a band of robbers who terrorized South Philadelphia for months. Their latest exploit was the alleged holdup of two bank mes sengers of the First National Bank of Darby, Pa., the bandits escaped with $10,800. Naulty is under indictment for this holdup.
