Farnham and Mr. Marvin Edward Howard, which was solemnized at ihe noon hour today, was one of the social events and May weddings that have been anticipated with a great deal of interest. The prominence of the two families united under such auspicious circumstances made the event one of much pleasant speculation in society circles. ,The ceremony was performed in thecosy home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Farnham, east of Woodland, by Hev. Fay| Donaldson, in the presence of a company of about thirty relatives and Intimate friends.The young couple were unattended. The bride wore a beautiful, tailor-made suit of pearl gray. The young couple stood beneath an arch of pepper | bram lies and sweet peas. Vases of fragrant roses and muny varieties of flowers entered into the decorative designs of the parlor.in the dining room the decorations were also very pretty, The color scheme was orange and white and there was a profusion of California I {Hippies.J There was an informal reception following the marriage ceremony, during which Mr. and Mrs. Howard revived many congratulations and felicitations. Those present also had an opportunity to get a glimpse of the fine display of elegant presents received by the young couple.The wedding dinner was a sumptuous affair. The choice menu was prepared with care and well served. After the dinner Mr. and Mrs. How-and left by auto for Davis, where t hey1 | boarded an afternoon train for San I Francisco and Oakland, where they t will spend their honeymoon. Upon ( their return they will take up thetr I residence on the Howard furm. near’ | Cache creek.• ! The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Farnham. Site was ( born in Wmnlland and graduated from the grammar and high schools. She is a young woman of charming personal appearance and many beautiful traits of character.Mr. Howard is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Howard, and is a popular and energetic young man of exemplaryhabits.it
