lt;» WLEGAL NOTICES.To the Honorable the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court,next to be holden at Boston within and for the county ofSuffolk, on the first Tuesday of March, eighteen hundredand fifty-two. . ^ .T AURA M. STACKPOLE, of Boston, in the County of 1^ Suffolk, wife of John H. Stackpole. now or late of Fair-haven in the County of Bristol, respectfully shows, that her maiden name was Laura M. Thompson, that she was married to the said John II. on or about the fifteenth day of September. eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, at Treeuiantle, Swan River, Western Australia; that she and her said husband soon after, to wit, on or about the. last of September aforesaid, came to Fairhaven in the County of Bristol, and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and thereatierwards, and until on or about the first day of January, eighteen hundred and forty five, lived together as husband and wife, and there-afterwards at New Bedterd in said County; that she has ever been faithful to her marriage obligations; but that the said j,»hn H. being wholly regardless iff Hie same has for five consecutive years, and for a longer space of time, to wit, tor the space of time between the first dav of April, eighteen hundred and forty-six, to the date hereof, wilfully and utterly deserted vour libellant without her consent.And your libellant further represents that the said John H., totally regardless of his marriage obligations as aforesaid, which obligations on her part have been most faithfully kept and observed, on or about riie first day of April, eighteen hundred and forty-six, and at divers and sundry times between said first dav of April, and the trst day of Apnl, eighteen hundred and forty nine, committed the crime of adultery with sundry divers women, whose na nes are to yi ur libellant unknown, living in W’oahoo and upon one of the Sandwich Islands, and particularly, in Honolulu, the seat of Government ol said Islands.Wherefore your libellant prays that a div rce from the bonds of matrimony between her and the said John H. may be decreed bv ibis Court, and that she may be allowed to assume her maiden name as aforesaid; and that such further provisions should be made lor her out of the estate of the said John H., her husband as aforesaid, as to the Court may seem proper.
