La Porte City, and Mrs. Darlene Murray 712 W. 5th St. Waterloo, Iowa.For the afternoon ceremony the bride chose a floor length gown of white satapeau over peau de soie, accented with Venise lace. Her short cape sleeves were double tiered and trimmed with lace which also enhanced her round neckline. Lace was inverted in the bodice of her dress to form an “apron” effect. Her face framing headpiece was lightly covered with flowers of Venise lace. She carried a cascade bouqueL of red roses, white daisies, pom-poms, stephanotis and leather leaf greensMrs. Robert Falk of Arlington, Va. attended her sister as matron-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Steve Mengus of Waterloo, sister of the groom- Kathy Sissel, Waterloo and Linda Delagardelle of Jesup, friends of the bride. Their floor length gowns were white organza and redprint cotton voile. The organza bodice was styled with a high collar and bishop sleeves. Ruffles of val lace covered the collar and sleeves, and cuffs and formed a jabot on the bodice front The contrasion skirt of voile was accented at the empire waist with a satin ribbon. Their picture hats of white swiss braid were trimmed with red satin ribbon. They carried a single red rose enlarged with rosepetals.The groom chose Martin Crum of Waterloo as his best-man. Groomsmen were Tim Murray of San Diego, California, brother of the groom, Kevin Cubic and Steve Mengus, brother-in-law of the groom, both of Waterloo.Seating guests were Dennis Smith of Oshkosh, Wisconsin brother-in-law of the groom and Joe Schmitz of La Porte City, brother of the bride.The brides mother chose a teal-blue dress for her daughters wedding and the grooms mother wore mint green. Both mothers had a red rose corsage accented with blue-green ribbons.Mrs. John Robb of La Porte City and Mrs Steve Reiter of Waterloo cut the wedding cake. Patty Schmitz and Susan and Kathy Delagardelle servedOut of town guests were from Arlington, Va , San Diego, California, Oshkosh, Wisconsin and West Salem, Wisconsin.The bride is employed at Lincoln’s Office Supply in Waterloo and the groom is employed at the Waterloo Post Office as a mailcarrier.
