Boyken, i Rt. 3, and James Burroughs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Burroughs. Fullerton, N. D. were married Saturday night at First Lutheran Church, Alden.The Rev. Holger P. Jorgensen performed the double-ring ceremony.The bride wore a floor-length white linen gown with demi-fit bodice trimmed front and back with tiny bows. It had a bat-teau neckline and bell sleeves of entwined linen cording. The skirt followed the A - line silhouette.Her cathedral - length veil was held in place by a cluster of Bavarian flowers touched with pink and trimmed with a triple bow. She carried a cascade bouquet of pink sweetheart roses, white carnations and stephanotis and ivy.Marian Boyken, sister of the bride, Mankato, was maid of honor. Mrs. Larry Staines, Fremont, was bridesmaid. They were dressed alike in blush pink, floor-length linen easy sheath gowns. The sleeveless empire-styled bodices were accented with a bow on each and an attached cape of white and pink cotton lace. Each wore a double pouf veil held in place with matching pink maline pompon and Bavaria flowers.Each carried a crescent shaped bouquet of white carnations centered with pink sweetheart roses and wore a birth-stone pendant.Susan Boyken, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Boyken, Albert Lea, was flower girl. She wore a floor-lenth dress of white chiffon over taffeta trimmed with lace at the sleeves. She carried a basket of white frenched carnations and pink sweetheart roses. She wore a birthstone pendant.Larry Staines, Fremont, was best man. Gary Krapu, Ames, Iowa, w^as groomsman.Delmar Boyken, Albert Lea, and David Doss, Amazonia, Mo., were ushers.Mrs. Raymond Hemmingsen was organist and Mrs. Alan Kestner, soloist.A reception was held in the church parlors following the ceremony.The couple will make their home at Bayonne, N. J.The bride is a graduate fromAlden High School and Mankato Commercial College. She has been employed at George A. Hormel and Co., Austin.The groom was graduated from Fullerton. N. D., High School and North Dakota State University. He was employed at the George A. Hormel and Company and is now with the Army in New Jersey.The bride wore a cocoa brown and white A - line linen dress lor traveling.
