TEN YEARS AGO May 9, 1934.Mattoon -will be host to the 1935 convention of the 45fch district of Rotary International, it was decided today at the district convention now being held in Marion.Mrs. Robert Fepperdine is in Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries received in an automobile accident near Allenville. Her daughter, Mrs. Francis Campbell, also was injured and received emergency treatment at the hospital.Miss Mildred Oliver, 16, daughter of Mrs. Marie Oliver, 721 North Sixteenth street, died today after a long illness.Charles H. Cox of this city and Miss Irma McManigall of Effingham were married in this city today.•Frank Hedden, a former resident of this city, died today at his home in Oak Fark, He was 58 years old.Mattoon folks sweltered today with the temperature at 92 degrees at 2 o'clock.
