Fred ParkerTN a quiet single ring ceremony * marked by simplicity Friday, Miss Carmelita Hiss, daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Frederick L, Hiss, Sycamore-ln, was united in marriage with Pfc. Herbert Parker, U, S. Army, son of Fred Parker, 1603 Shelby-st.The wedding took place in the rectory of St. Mary’s CatholicChurch at 5:30 p, m., with Rev. C. J. Dobmeyer officiating.Rose point lace trimmed the bride’s white chiffon gown, which was fashioned princess style, with a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves. She wore a fingertip veil, which fell from a coronet, and her arm bouquet was ofwhite carnations and white phlox.Miss Dawn Sehnecke, close friend of the bride, was* thebridesmaid. Her gown was ofF]thilieanpink satin and net, and she wore, a matching dutch-style cap. Her flowers were pink carnations and snapdragons.Norbert Hiss, a brother of the bride, served as best man for Mr. Parker.Following the wedding a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for the bridal party, relatives and close friends.Mrs. Parker is a'1939 graduate of St. Mary’s High school and has been employed at Simplex Radio Corp.The bridegroom has been home on furlough, and left today for Camp Polk, La., to return to his Army duties.
