rTo Be Bride in JuneBy JOAN BUEN11AM. ►Christina Fosselman and Private 1st Class John Stephen Kelly, USA,.are to be married'June 1? in Holy Family Catholic Church, South Pasadena,-where she was baptized and confirmed and where her .paretilv Mrr-and Mrs. Wiliam P.’ Fosselman were married June IB, 1941;Mr. Fosselman’s brother, the Rev. John A. Fosselman who officiated at their wedding, will celebrate the 11 a.m. nuptial mass for Tina (as she is known to ' her friends) and John. Tt will be -followed by a garden reception at the South Pasadena residence of the Fosselmans, .. .The groom -.elect’s parents,Mr. and Mrs. William I. Kelly of Smith-.Pasadena, are planning.to host the rehearsal dinner '-on: June' IS in their home.-John is presently serving with the Army in Kitzen-gen,; Germany. He expects to be home here on leave June 10 and to return to Germany with his bride for the remain: der of his tour of duty in the service which terminates next April. .Betty Cberniss and Annette Dubet, of South Pasadena, two of the bridesmaids, recently gave a surprise evening dessert and miscellaneous shower for Tina. At this party her gifts ranged from paring knives to luggage and towels.Mmes. Ernest Arnold and Clanton ,tf South Pasadena gave a similar party in. the former's home. Presents, which included lingerie, china and cook books, reposed on a table in: the living room which Was covered with .white tulle and covered with miniature illuminated wedding bells.'* . • 4 • *The wedding color theme of lavender and white Was carried out on, the refreshment table in the dining room including the two teed cakes one of which had two tiers topped with wedding bells. , .Later this month, Mrs. Clifford Cox, the mayoress of South Pasadena, and Mrsi Patricia Whilwell of the same town are,-planning- -to .give a linen sho\yer for Tina,••The'dcntative :®e-for this affair in the home of Mrs.Cox is set for May 21.'' Among those planning to attend the wedding are the bride ■ elect’s godparents, her maternal -uncle- John -Barber of ‘Manhattan- Beach -and -her paternal aunt Mrs. Jack Jordan of Orinda, and their respective spouses.Also the benedict - elect'.' maternal grandmother a n f aunt, Mrs. Julia Falk of Sar Francisco and his paterna aunt, Miss Mary Kelly o.Goodhue, Minn. Tina’s young er sisters, 'Roberta, 12, ant Mary Jo, 10, will be the jun lor bridesmaids.
