Miss Saunders weds Mr. RateauConant takes top honors in boat racePhil Conant, Eustis, took first place in the St. Johns River Marathon boat race from Sanford to Jacksonville and return, atConant was sponsored by Nick’s Outboard Service and won two trophies, a cash award and cash bonus from manufacturers. The winning boat and trophies are on display at Nick’s Outboard Service.Mrs. Dunlop shows paintings at CofCDuring the month of May, the Eustis Art League is sponsoring a one-man show by Bertha Dunlop at the Chamber of Commerce.Mrs. Dunlop inherited her creative ability from her father, Henry J. Kennel, who is a sculptor. He is one of three artists who did the decorative cornaces of the Sterling Memorial Library at Yale University.This inherited creativeness expressed itself in various ways until her children were grown, when at last she had time to paint.Most of her life has been spent in Connecticut. The New ' England influence is evidenced in the farm scenes and marine views along the coast. About 12 years ago, the Dunlops moved to Florida, where Mrs. Dunlop has added local views to her collection.Mrs. Dunlop has exhibited at Wilton, Conn. and with the Eustis Art League. Her workis sensitive, expressive and original.“More of it should be seen in our exhibitions around Florida, says Miss Mildred Wetmore, past president of the Eustis Art League.tfLittle League meet toniteAll parents and players interested in forming a Little League baseball group are asked to meet tonight at 7:30 at the Florida Power Lounge.Miss Nancy Anne Saunders and Angus Joseph Rateau exchanged wedding vows and rings at a 3:30 o’clock ceremony Saturday at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church.The bride is the daughter of Frank S. Saunders of Eustis. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henri Rateau of Eustis.Father M. M. Reynolds officiated.Mrs. L. T. Brennand Jr., Umatilla, played the wedding i-'aicn ior tne ceremony. The church was decorated with white gladioli and palms.the oriae, who was given in marriage by her brother, James C. Saunders, was lovely in an embroidered white taffeta of street length and Princess style. The bodice featured a square neckline and short sleeves. Her shoulder length veil was attached to a beaded tiara. Her only jewelry was a single strand of pearls. She carried a, white orchid bouquet.Mrs. K. R. Bleckley, sister ofthe bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Peggy Hammond and Mrs. John Marselle. Their dresses were street length pink sheaths of embroidered taffeta with rose cummerbunds and bow. They carried bouquets of pink carnations.Kenneth R. Bleckley was best man and ushers were Herbert J. Rupe Jr. and Donald B. Stephens, all of Eustis.A reception was held in the church hall. Decorations of fern and gladioli were used throughout the hall.After a wedding trip to South Florida, the couple will reside on East Orange Ave., Extension.Mrs. Rateau is a native of Brownwood, Ga., and was graduated in 1956 from Eustis High School. She is employed at the First State Bank and Trust Co. Mr. Rateau is a native of Wierton, W.
