Franken - Wielenga wedKimberly Franker* and David Wielenga were united in marriage on March 11, 1983 at the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev.John Ornee officiated at the candlelight ceremony. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Franken of Sioux Center and Mr. and Mrs. James Wielenga of rural Boyden.Valaire De Jong, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Wielenga, sister of the groom, and Jeannine Franken, sister of the bride. Angie De Weerd, niece of the groom, was flowergirl.Bestman was Leroy Wielenga and the groomsmen were Jim Wielengaand Kevin Wielenga, all brothers of the groom. Ricky Hage, cousin of the bride, was ringbearer.The organist, Donna Den Herder accompanied Aruta Den Herder, soloist. Laura Franken, aunt of the bride, presided at the guest book. .Ushers were Arlin De Weerd and Leon Franken.After the ceremony a reception was held in the church basement with Merle Kredit presiding.. After a wedding trip to Omaha the couple is at home in Hull. The groom is employed at Harkers in Sioux Center and helps his father on, the farm. The bride is employed at Ultra Florals in Sioux Center.
